Assocapp
The Italian association of male and female footballers, coaches and fitness coaches. Founded in Rome on 10 April 2026, it represents players and staff in activity, former players and their heirs, with a focus on Serie B, Serie C, women’s football and the lower leagues.
What we stand for
Transparency on the end-of-career fund. Italian professional footballers and coaches pay into a fund (Fondo di accantonamento delle indennità di fine carriera) that pays out only on request. Assocapp asks for full access to its accounts and to individual positions, and for simpler payout procedures, including for heirs. In November 2026 Assocapp presented its figures to the press: more than 600 positions examined and about €1.2 million in accrued amounts recognised by the fund to over 90 members after Assocapp’s intervention.
Image rights and esports. A collective licence for the use of players’ names, faces and data in video games, with royalties paid to the players.
Services for one euro a year. Legal, social security and tax assistance, also through the network of the Italian trade union confederation UIL, with which Assocapp signed a memorandum of understanding on 23 July 2026.
Institutional dialogue. On 15 September 2026 Assocapp was heard by the Italian Senate (7th Committee) on the bill reforming Italian football.
